PCP welcomes Sky Sports News

Team picturePCP welcomed Sky Sports News on Wednesday 21st October to film the Manchester United programme being printed. Pete Colley and James Downer from Sky Sports spent the morning with the PCP team talking about what it’s like to print such iconic memorabilia.
The PCP team that are responsible for printing the programme for Manchester United’s game with Manchester City on Sunday 25th October explained the process from start to finish.
Mark Jones, Sales Director for PCP said ‘We work with a number of sporting bodies producing a number of high profile publications including Premier League programmes and magazines. The turn-around times for producing such publications are always tight and there is no room for error. It’s important to have a good team around you to make sure deadlines are met – there is certainly no room for error on this job!’
During the morning Sky Sports News were able to take footage of the front cover being printed in preparation for the text pages.
The front cover was designed by a Manchester united fan as old Trafford club asked supporters to come up with a design for the match day programme to mark the 170th Manchester derby against local rivals City.
And it seems that Manchester United fans are quite creative as they were inundated with designs, but the winner was Harri Lyons from Colwyn Bay in North Wales.
Manchester United supporters voted Harri Lyons’ submission the winner in their search for a fan’s design to adorn the front of this Sunday’s matchday programme.
