PCP acknowledged for its environmental management

Precision Colour Printing has been accredited with ISO 14001 for its environmental management systems. This adds to the ISO 9001 previously awarded for its quality assurance management.

Says PCP health and safety manager Mick Simmonds, who was responsible for managing the accreditation process: “We are delighted to receive this 14001 accreditation. It has been extremely hard work over the past 18 months and every person in the company, from the MD down, has played a significant part in gaining it.

“But the hard work really starts now as we have to strive even harder to keep this certification through internal audits and continuous management reviews. These standards and the management systems they require are vital to the continuing success and development of our business.”

At the same time, PCP has also gained FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC Chain of Custody Certification (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) and can provide an ever-growing choice of wood free and other certified paper stocks for its customers.

The Company, part of the Claverley Group, is now working towards the ISO 18001 health and safety management standard.
