We’re excited about celebrating When Saturday Comes’ 30th Birthday and as a special present Precision Colour Printing have printed the very first issue as a centre section within the main magazine. This special edition can be bought from shops tomorrow!
When Saturday Comes is a monthly magazine about football. It was first published in 1986 with an aim to provide a voice for football supporters. Offering both a serious and humorous view of the sport and covering all the topics that fans are likely to talk about, whether serious or trivial.
Richard Guy, Publisher of When Saturday Comes, said: “We’ve worked with many printers in the 30 years of the magazine’s existence and PCP is up there with the best. The quality is excellent, the people easy to deal with, and they regularly come up with suggestions as to how we can improve our printed product. We were very touched by their generous offer to reprint the first issue of WSC to mark our anniversary.

We continue to push the boundaries such as including a replica of their very first issue, published back in 1986, as a printed section in the centre of their 30th Birthday issue. This was particularly important to us as this was only available previously as a digital download and to recreate it in print was important in terms of creating a feeling of nostalgia and it also demonstrates the unique tactile nature of a printed magazine. We are looking forward to coming up with something creative for their 40th Birthday!”
