On Thursday 18th February Precision Colour Printing hosted its first annual awards ceremony for staff who have gained NVQ certificates at various levels.

Twenty Five members of staff from all departments, including two apprentices, completed a year-long course run by GB Training of Birmingham and were presented with their certificates at a special reception held at The Park House Hotel in Shifnal.

Alex Evans, said: “This was the firm’s first National Vocational Qualification training programme and it has proved to be a great success, so we intend to continue with further training from here on.

“The aim of the initiative was to invest in aspiring members of staff who wished to better themselves and gain formal nationally recognised qualifications for their current jobs or potential future roles and we are very proud of their energy, effort and hard work, all in their own personal time.

“In turn the company itself is rewarded with a greater multi-skilled and talented workforce which will help it advance and prosper.”

The NVQ courses were run by Andy Shellis of GB Training, who added: “All of the delegates worked extremely hard during the year in striving to attain the necessary high standards of discussion, statements, quality workbooks and to recognise their individual roles and responsibilities within PCP, so it is a great pleasure to present them with their certificates.”
