Apple turns to paper for its latest product

MagazinesWe love ‘twosides’ latest article on technology giant Apple launching its latest ‘paper’ product.

A new hardbound book chronicling 20 years of Apple’s design which is communicated through over 400 photographs is now available in print!

The content showcases products from 1998 to 2015 and includes materials and techniques used by Apple’s design team. The photos have been shot by Andrew Zuckerman in a very spare style.

The book has been published and dedicated to the memory of Steve Jobs and is printed on specially milled, custom-dyed paper with gilded matte silver edges using eight colour separation and low-ghost ink. So unlike other apple products consumers won’t have to worry about a newer, more powerful version coming out 6 months later.

As the Financial Times puts it, “After revolutionising personal computers, phones and watches, Apple has finally turned to humanity’s most durable communications device: the book.”
