SUSTAINABILITY AT THE HEART OF EVERYTHING WE DO
Our commitment to working in an environmentally friendly way is evident when you walk around our plant. We are committed to using paper from sustainable resources to maintain good environmental performances.
We have established and follow a rigorous chain of custody system, enabling the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) logos to be printed on material where our customers require it.
This means that we can provide certified paper that has been tracked through every link in the supply chain. We can guarantee that the fibres used in our paper originate either from a forest managed according to verified sustainable sources or from recycled material.
ISO 14001
We are ISO 14001 certified. This means our environmental management system (EMS) meets international industry specific environmental standards. It also provides a framework for ongoing environmental improvements.
We aim to ensure that all our activities are carried out in conformance with the relevant legislation. We seek to minimise waste, promote recycling, reduce energy consumption, reduce harmful emissions and, where possible, to work with suppliers who themselves have sound environmental policies.
An essential feature of the EMS is a commitment to improving environmental performance. This is achieved by setting environmental objectives and targets which are regularly monitored and reviewed. These objectives and targets are publicised throughout the organisation and all staff are committed to their achievement.
